Gather your ingredients and shred up your zucchini. I use the large-holed side of a box grater for quick shredding. false

In a large bowl, mix flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt, whisking to combine thoroughly. false

In a medium bowl, combine sugar, applesauce, buttermilk, eggs, oil, and vanilla. Stir well to combine thoroughly. false

Make a well in the flour mixture and add the wet ingredients, add zucchini and stir briefly again, just to distribute evenly. false
